Summary

Old farm buildings at Welltown. Probably 16th century in date. Originally Grade III listed, but not designated following the list revision in the 1980s. In a dilapidated state in 1980, the barn was converted into a dwelling and is now (2018) known as 'Welltown Meadow'.

Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Farm buildings shown on the 1840s Tithe Map at Welltown, aligned north-south. Apportionment lists (1285): Welltown 'Dwelling house, outhouses, Courts and Mowhay'. Owned and occupied by Abraham Giles.

The late 19th century historic map shows no particular change since the Tithe Map depiction.
