Toll House, now house. Circa 1830, with alterations and additions of late C20. Rubble, rendered with granite dressings, asbestos slate roof with gable end stack to left. Single-room plan, heated by left gable end stack, originally with narrow rear outshut, replaced by 2-storey C20 extension. Picturesque Gothic style. Symmetrical front of 2 storeys, with central doorway, door with cover strips and chamfered granite jambs, hood on wooden brackets. Flanking windows in splays to left and right, both 2-light casements, to right with Y-tracery and glazing bars, to left a C20 replacement with glazing bars, both with pointed arched and chamfered granite surrounds. The corners above are supported on large granite corbels. At first floor a single similar pointed arched window with C20 replacement casements. Left gable end has external stack, single pointed arched casement with glazing bars at ground floor to left of flue. Single-storey porch attached at junction with rear addition, with 4-centred arched door with raised fillets, pitched roof of porch continued along rear wing to left. Rear wing of 2 storeys and 3 windows, all pointed arched casements at first floor, casements at ground floor. Right gable end has quoin visible at junction to rear wing, pointed arched window with 6-pane sash at first floor left. Rear wing of 3 storeys because of slope of ground, has garage underneath, 3 windows at first floor and 2 at second floor. Interior rear wall of single room removed, fireplace at front with cambered granite head, front door blocked internally. Much altered with C20 rebuilding.
