Full description
Department of Environment, 1983, Newton Abbot, 44 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV298253.
No 89 (Blanche House), Wolborough Street. Late 18th to early 19th century. Two storeys stuccoed. Slate roof. Coved eaves cornice. Three sashes with glazing bars intact. Central doorcase with cornice and panelled reveals. Six panelled door, the top 4 panels cut away and glazed.

Blanche House and attached wall to the right. House. Early 19th century. Painted stucco, 20th century slate roof with tall brick stacks to gable ends. Double-depth plan. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Plinth, coved eaves cornice, narrow overlight to 6-panel door glazed to the top, doorcase with a cornice on rectangular brackets (probably the tops of former pilasters), panelled reveals and soffit, flanked on both floors by 8/8-pane sash windows; 6/6-pane sash above the door. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: a blank wall to the right has 20th century planked door. Date listed: 6th June 1972.
