Vis=15/6/1984 (griffiths). Possible remains of cross-passage house though somewhat altered inside-? lower end rebuilt, and the eastern portion now a separate house. Beam with step stop in present living room. Cob barn to n (shown on tithe map) at ss49552872, which is adjacent to the line of the barnstaple bypass. Earliest known documentary reference to barnacott is in 1229.(mawer et al).
