Full description
Department of Environment, 1972, Urban District of Crediton, 10 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV39769.
No 6, High Street. Eighteenth century altered, red brick, wood eaves cornice slate roof, three storey, two flush frame sash windows at upper floors. Mid 19th century wood shop front with central entrance and fanlight.

Shops with accommodation over. Probably mid C18 with late C19 shop front remodelled in C20. Flemish bond brick; slate roof; end stacks with brick shafts. Plan: Double-depth plan. Exterior: 3 storeys. 2-window front. Roof with moulded cornice; left end gable stack, right end stack with shaft to front of ridge. Flat guaged brick arches over late C20 windows. Shop front with plate-glass windows and consoles to fascia. C19 3-light casement to rear. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
