Full description
Department of Environment, 15/06/1978, Exmouth, 30 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV131898.
No 2 (the Bridgewater Building Society), Parade. Early 18th century building with wide eaves and slate roof. Late 18th century stucco facade with simple side pilasters. 2 storeys and 3 dormers. 3 windows, original bars now replaced by flat windows with 4 lights, wooden mullions and transom. Sash with glazing bars remains in centre. Wide doorway with wide and top lights, probably later brackets and other detailing.

The building is now a pub called The Powder Monkey. It is set back from the road with a small courtyard in front surrounded by a low brick wall with stone capping and green-painted iron railings and tall brick piers with stone finials.
