St Mary’s parish church in Bickleigh. Inscription on tablet on the south wall of the tower. "Sacred to the memory of James Heywood, only son of James Modyford Heywood of Maristow in this county esqr. He died May XIth MDCCLXXXIV. Aged XXVIII".
