No 9, The Beacon. Late 19th century facade. Rendered with slate roof.3 storeys and basement, attic with 2 hipped dormers.2 windows. North west side, late 19th century 2 storey bow with rusticated treatment. South west side has a balcony with good cast iron balustrade on brackets. Modillion cornice carried round bay. Door has fanlight with stained glass.

No 9 The Beacon was originally one build with No 8, adjoining at the left (north-west). The dimensions of the original build are evident from examination of the rear wall, where there is no joint between the 18th century hand-made brickwork of Nos 8 and 9. See report for full details.
