Late 18th century, three storey, two window, stucco front. Six-panel door with panelled reveals to wood case with fluted pilasters and bracket entablature.

House, formerly the Liberal Club. Post-1794 (following a fire), circa 1800. Smooth-plastered mass wall construction; slate roof, gabled at ends; end stacks. On an elevated section of pavement on Angel Hill. Deep plan, one room wide, front door to right.
Exterior: three storeys and basement. Deep eaves on paired eaves brackets. Good pilastered doorcase with fluted pilasters with capitals and a cornice with a modillion frieze. Steps up to six-panel door, top panels glazed, middle fielded, lower panels flush. Windows probably original; ground-floor window right has an eight over one-pane sash (lower light missing original glazing bars); first-floor windows are 16-pane sashes; second floor are four over eight-pane. Interior not inspected but may be of interest.
