Possible double hut circle attached to a reave identified from 1985 aerial mapping project (1977 image). Not identified during ground survey in 1996, and are thought to be natural features.

Protected Status

  • SHINE: Part of the Dartmeet parallel reave system east of Down Ridge. Earthworks and walling remains of a Bronze Age field system adjoining the Venford Reave, with numerous hut circles, enclosures, cairns and a later medieval field system

Double hut circle attached to a reave extending from the Venford Reave. Within the reave system SX67SE/248. Visible on 1977 aerial photograph.
