Bugford Mill is one of the principal mills in the parish. Waterwheel survives. Currently being restored with advice from Professor Minchinton.

Documentary references in 1681 and 1700. In 1867 the Old Quay Foundry, Exeter, turned the gudgeon for Robert Cann of 'Bugbear Mills'. Stephen Cann was the miller in 1878. Waterwheel, together with pitwheel and upright shaft with wallower, crownwheel and layshaft drive survive. The spurwheel and stone nuts are also thought to still be in situ.
