Robinson, R., 1976, Dean Prior Barrows (Worksheet). SDV346527.

Barrow B. A circular mound 8.0 metres in diameter and approximately 1.0 metres high. Appears to be of earth with large disturbed granite boulders in the centre (50.0 metres from the field boundary).

(April 1977) SX 69976485 Cairn sited on a hill slope on pasture. Diameter 7.0 metres height 0.4 metres.

(26/07/1979) A cairn at SX69966484 is in a crest position in a pasture field. It is constructed of earth-packed small stones and measures 12.0 metres in diameter and 0.5 metres high, which includes a slightly off-centre rim 2.0 metres wide and 0.3 metres high.

Skerraton Gate S.W. cairn at SX69976482 of 7.5 metres diameter by 0.3 metres high is an isolated cairn nearly 300 metres to the south-west of Skerraton Gate.

This site was considered for designation as a Scheduled Ancient Monument during the Monument Protection Programme. The programme ended before the entire list of sites was successfully scheduled so this is included on a local list of Nationally Important Sites.
