Butterdon Hill N. cairn '1' at SX65815974 of 16.0 metres diameter by 1.0 metres high. Summit cairn has been badly damaged; numerous small pits in the top appear to have left little undisturbed.

This large cairn stands on the summit of a hill 230 metres south-west of Spurrell's Cross, it is 17 metres in diameter and about 1 metre high, consisting of a base built of stone and earth surmounted by a mound of stones. The stones on the mound have been moved by visitors in order to form shelters.

Visited on 29th January 2021,surveyed and photographed. Cairn south-west of Spurrell's Cross: stony mound, 16 metres north to south, 9 metres east to west, 0.5 metres high, modified by remains of two buildings. Western building is 7 metres north to south, 4 metres east to west; eastern building is 6 metres east to west, 4 metres north to south. Buildings defined by tumbled stony banks, 0.8 metres wide and 0.9 metres high and are probably associated with seasonal grazing.
