Summary
'Cairn 6' (Butler) is one of a group of four cairns on Butterdon Hill. Badly damaged, especially around the perimeter. Cairn consists of a stony mound of 25 metres diameter by 3 metres high. Outer rim of the cairn is a turf covered scarp of 4 metres wide by 0.5 metres high.

Triple crown of Bronze Age cairns on Butterdon Hill (see also SX 65 NE 26, 28) obviously important burial sites. On the south side of the summit cairn are traces of two medieval enclosures, and against the wall of one of them a large stone has been vertically set.

Butterdon Hill Summit cairn '6' at SX65535866 of 25.0 metres diameter by 3.5 metres high on the highest point of Butterdon Hill. It is not well preserved as the foundations and tumbled walls of a rectangular building and small enclosure at its base have been constructed out of the cairn's material.
