'B. S.' (boundary stone) is depicted on the late 19th century historic map.

Boundary stone roughly squared granite post inscribed A/B EPB 1837, one of a series on the Ashburton/Buckland boundary marking the limit of the manor. One of a series marking the manor boundary on Buckland Common. EPB stand for Edmund Pollexfen Bastard, Lord of the manor. Possibly set up on a robbed cairn.
