Site visits 25th October 2001 and 22nd March 2018. Milestone located on the south side of the road, in a bank above the path, between two lamp posts.
Set up just prior to the closure of the Turnpike Trust in 1879. Inscribed '6/BARUM' from the Medieval Latin for Barnstaple.
It was not located in 2001 but was rediscovered in 2018. Worn and embedded into the bank.
