Department of Environment, 1986, Whitestone, 98 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV346823.

Pitt Farmhouse now a house. Dated 1805 with some 20th century alterations. Whitewashed and rendered probably cob. Half-hipped slate roof; end stacks with brick shafts, the left end stack projecting single-storey brick lean-to at rear with corrugated asbestos roof. Double depth plan with heated rooms on either side of a central passage. The partition wall between the 2 right-hand rooms has been removed. Circa early 20th century single-storey brick lean-to at rear for additional service rooms. Two storeys and attic. Symmetrical 3-bay front with 20th century central gabled porch carried on posts and 6-panel front door with glazed top panels below a semi-circular recess. There are 16-pane hornless sashes to left and right, 12-pane sash above porch. Stair with stick balusters, 20th century grate to ground floor room right. Compact early 19th century house.
