K5 kitts. Plan Duchy of Cornwall Office, Liskeard. Lead. The mine is also known as Cate's, Skitt, Lydford Consols, Lyd River Silver-Lead and Wheal Reform.

In 1834, the mine was reported by the Duchy of Cornwall to have ceased producton. There were three shafts, two south of the river and one north.

Kitts Mine was worked for lead by three shafts in the mid 19th century. The shafts are now filled but an adit can be seen. Other mining remains lie along the left bank of the Tavy.

An extensive area of disturbed ground south of the Lyd. At SX51718453 there is a well preserved wheelpit. At Sx51688452, a stone building of 19th century date, possibly a smithy. At SX51598460, an open adit entrance with a bottle dump above. At Sx51618459, a possible blocked adit. 'Heatherdale' at SX51758445 may have been the mine captains house.

Small early to mid 19th century mine. Wheelpit currently being infilled with rubbish. Possible shaft nearby. Ill defined earthworks to west. Smithy (?) now a derelict farm building.
No obvious features of importance.
