Jenkinson, T., 2007, Barnstaple to Ilfracombe B3230 (Report - Survey). SDV338882.

A milestone (c.1879), located opposite a public bridleway, embedded in a bank close to the road, on the east side of the road, to the south of Sunnymeade. It was found to be dirty, worn granite, at the risk of impact, with some chips and water damage evident. It's legend read '3/BARUM'.
There are relatively few milestones surviving on the route of the B3230, from Barnstaple to Ilfracombe. The road was built in c.1827, but the markers date from 1879 and were set at the roadside just prior to the closure of the Barnstaple Turnpike Trust, each bearing the medieval Latin name for the town of 'BARUM'. Other details: Surveyed 22/11/2006.

Ordnance Survey, 2007, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV337643.

A milestone is marked as 'MS' on the Ordnance Survey MasterMap.
