Milestone shown as ''M.S Barnstaple 6' on 19th century map on the west side of the road to the north of Instow.

Milestone erected circa 1879 in Instow to the east of Kiln Close Lane in Anstey Way leaning against a fence on the north side of the road. The legend reads '6/Barum/'. Discoloured stone with minor chips and white painted legend.
