A large Post Medieval quarry, surrounded by a boundary wall, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs on Berry Hill, Bratton Fleming. It is depicted on the first edition Ordnance Survey map of 1889 and annotated "Berryhill quarry" indicating it was still in use when the map was published. It was most likely a stone quarry, providing building stone for the surrounding field boundaries. A narrow cut trackway connects the quarry with the road to the south. Other details: Monument Number 1488832.
Ordnance Survey, 2009, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV341569.
