Number 84 High Street, (south side). Early 16th century, refronted in the early 19th century. 3 storeys. 1 window. Hipped Welsh slate roof. Timber-framed, plastered front with jettied first floor. Coved eaves cornice. Masonry party walls with chamfered corbels of former first floor jetty, and carried up as plastered pilaster strips. Architraved sash windows with side lights and glazing bars. Later 19th century shopfront with fluted pilasters and entablature with dentil cornice; modern shop window and doorway. Attic retains sections of reused, early 16th century linenfold panelling; also used as top of staircase with early 18th century turned balusters and moulded handrail. Original roof structure with collared trusses.
