Chapple headstone about 3 metres east of the transept of the church of the Holy Cross. Headstone. Early 19th century. Slate. Headstone in the form of a cross head on a shaft commemorating Francis Chapple, died 1845 and other members of the family. Llts inscribed in the head, inscription below in rustic Gothic letters. An interesting example of a Gothic revival design. Other details: LBS number 435119.
