Full description

Direction post at Five Lanes at the junction of the roads to Hennock village and Warmhill. Direction post. Early 19C. Granite. A 5-sided post with roughly shaped top. Each side has a carved inscription, the lettering having serifs. On south-west side is carved to S. Bovey, on north-west side to Moreton, on north-east side to Hennock, on east side to Exeter, and on south-east side to Chudleigh.
