Denbury fair was fully attended by all classes among the inhabitants of a wide district (tda).

A good deal of business was done at the fair, cheese in particular being sold in large quantities in the past (western antiquary).

September 1879. Forty years ago one fairing stall took 50 pounds sterling whereas now a few shillings represents the profits of all. Very few people visited the fair this year (western times).

Field to the west of Denbury Manor named as Fair Park (112) on the Denbury Tithe Apportionment. There are, however, other 'fair' names to the southeast of the house. Plot 91 is named as Old Fare Park and Plot 90 is also called Fair Park.
