During excavation at the stable a line of 54 cattle bones forming a decorative border was revealed. A skull figurine was excavated from an adjacent layer.

Standing building survey of former stable block in Green Lane carried out in 1989.

Area 3A. Annexe of County Garage. Site adjacent to Green Lane, circa 70 metres east of High Street. Excavation revealed that this site was used as a garden in the 17th century. In the early 18th century a stone building was constructed. A bone figurine with a large skull is though to be a 17th century Memento Mori.
