Full description

Department of Environment, 1985, Staverton, 46 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV155058.

Barn and shippon immediately north of Pridhamsleigh Manor. Shippon with barn loft above. Circa late 18th or early 19th century. Stone rubble. Slate roof with gabled ends. Two storeys. Ground floor shippon doors and windows with flat stone arches. First floor loft doors and windows. External stairs to loft door, on left, bridge over passageway. Included for group value.

Western shippon in lower yard of Pridhamsleigh. It is almost parallel to the one on the eastern side and has virtually the same forms of roof structure, doorways and windows. It is, therefore, considered to be of the same date ie 1860.
