Full description
Hellis, J., 1990, List of Defensive Sites (Un-published). SDV99101.
A simple brick built square wall about 5 feet 5 inches high possibly part of the airfield defences.
Francis, P., 1995, Blackdown Hills Airfield Survey. Dunkeswell and Upottery, No. 20, Fig. 22 (Report - Survey). SDV312951.
Brick enclosure (not shown on air ministry site plan). Construction: 9 inch brick walled enclosure with twisted anti-climb steel rods fixed to the top of the wall.(probably used for fixing barbed wire). Function: unknown - but could be an electrical sub-station. Associated with the battle headquarters and appears to be in good condition. The anti-climb steel rods are an interesting feature.
