A six sided structure roughly 6 by 6 metres in size, visible on aerial photographs taken between 1946 and 1956, is likely to be a Second World War pillbox and part of the Taunton Stop Line. The structure is not visible on more recent available aerial photographs taken after 1999, and may have been demolished when this road junction was straightened.
