Full description

Broomhill Cottage. Cottage. 18th century with 19th century rear outshut. Colourwashed rendered cob and stone; thatched roof, hipped at left end, gabled at right end; projecting end stacks.
Plan: single depth two room plan main block with a larger room to the right; entrance to left of centre, facing straight stair. Most of the internal partitions are modern.
Exterior: two storeys. Asymmetrical 3 window front with eaves thatch eyebrowed over the 3 first floor windows. 20th century gabled thatched porch to left of centre. 3 first floor 2-light timber casements with small panes, similar window ground floor left; two windows to right of door, one 1-light, one 2-light casement, 6-panes per light.
Interior: largely modernized. Forked crossbeam to ground floor right, open fireplace with cut stone lintel.
Roof: apex not inspected, principal rafters appear to be straight.
