Ravenswood School. Country house in use as school. Built as Stoodleigh Court in 1883 by Sir Ernest George and H. E. Peto for T. Carew Daniel (Girouard). Stone rubble with ham hill dressings, some tile-hung and timber frame gables; red tile roof with some concrete tile replacement; stacks with tall stone shafts. Free mixture of Elizabethan and Old English style. Two storeys and attic. Very complete interior. See DoE list for full details.

Described as an impressive mansion house, formerly used as a school with a medieval style great hall. It was built in the late 19th century at the centre of a large estate. The estate was split up at the beginning of the 20th century and the house became a private boarding school. The school closed in 1992 and the property subsequently offered for sale.
