Full description

Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of Black Torrington in Early Times, 197, 220-237 (Article in Monograph). SDV2105.

Dunsland was Doneslanda in Domesday. In 1086 it was held by Cadio of Baldwin the Sherif. Before the conquest it was held by Oluric. In 1166 it was held by Ralf, son of Cadio (citing Black Book of the Exchequer). In Testa de Nevil, 1241, it was held by Richard Cadyo.
