Ordnance Survey surveyors' sketches of 1804-7 show a feature projecting onto the foreshore. This appears to be the same feature, listed as a garden and coach house, shown on a map of East the Water in 1843. This area now includes the houses and gardens of 26-29 Torrington Street and the northern part of the present Wyvern Organs building. Figure 5.
