SMR records possible barrow/ring-cairn site in 1991. Described as round hole surrounded by ring of bracken, with entrances on east and west sides. No dimensions given. During field survey no features found at grid reference given. Nearby at grid reference SY 14599 96866 is shallow hole circa 5 metres by 4 metres circa 0.3 metres deep. There are several other pits and associated mounds of various shapes and sizes in this area related to probable iron ore extraction (seesite 297).
