Whittemore, P. J., 1978 - 1981, The Lost Monumental Brasses of Devonshire., 338-340 (Article in Serial). SDV57403.
On north chancel wall is a brass to James Coffyn dated 1566. In armour, kneeling at a desk with his helmet and gauntlet beside him. A book lying on the desk has the word 'miserere' written on each open page. Jane Coffyn's memorial 1646 is incised on slate, unusual in Devon in showing a chrison child in baptismal robe. Henry Hurdinge's brass, 1627. Question of other brasses associated with this tomb, now lost, discussed .
