District Surveyor, 1978, Roman Road (Worksheet). SDV274696.
A linear pitched stone foundation found on the south side of Newland Cross when making the line of a new road 'some years ago' ie before 1978. The new line of the road now follows this line. It's proximity to North Tawton marching camp is noted.

A linear pitched stone foundation was found when making the line of a new road. The new road is thought to respect the earlier line to the west.
