Full description
North Devon District Council Rescue Archaeology Unit, 1986, Interim Report on Small Sites Work, Barnstaple (Report - Interim). SDV90724.
17th century clay pipes recovered from Trench 18 to the rear of 30 Bear Street in Barnstaple in 1986. One was a Peter Tachell stamped bowl of circa 1620. Another form indicated a slightly later 17th century date.
