Within the stone-walled fields are the remains of an old reservoir, the remains of a water extraction point can be seen further up the Erme (near the seats) which presumably formed the water supply for this. Winding gear remains in one corner of the reservoir. The site was subsequently turned into a swimming pool by American troops stationed in the area, who also imported sand in to form a beach.
The former reservoir/swimming pool needs general clear out / tidy up together with some vegetation clearance.

Depicted on the modern mapping.

Burgess, J., 2014, Reservoir near Ivybridge (Personal Comment). SDV168112.
