Building within enclosure shown on Tithe Map and described as ‘Hill Spring Head House, Lane and Garden’ in Tithe Apportionment (SMR). The enclosure, with an orchard to north, and possibly the building are depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1890 1:10560 map with a trackway running southeast from the east boundary across the common. The site of the building lies to the west of the survey area, but the trackway lies within it. The trackway was not identified during the field survey.
