Full description
Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV1142.
The fields n of the river, between it and the a396 were in a water meadow system. Irregular raised squares are visible in some fields. The area was described in the 1400's as "a valley of water", with particular reference to duvale farm (ss92sw-12). The other farm concerned is holmingham (ss92se-138). The duvale reference is to be found in the footnotes to polwhele's description of bampton (worksheet).

Mcmanamon states that the correct ngr is ss945-250-. However, this ngr lies far from a river (mcmanamon).
