Summary

Hut circle measuring 2.3 metres in diameter, with double orthostat and rubble wall 0.9 metres wide, 0.4 metres high. A 210 degree facing gap may represent a doorway. Bracken and grass cover.

Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE41, Hut 'O', 25/8/1950 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV276070.

(SX5649 7299). One of a group of 17 hut circles, given the letter 'O'. In ruinous condition. Small, diameter around 5.0 metres, wall width 1.0 metre, height 0.3 metres. The north-west quadrant of wall survives and remainder is traceable by odd stones. Many of the smaller stones used to fill the pillaged wall have been thrown into the centre of the circle. Condition poor.

Hut circle forming part of a partially enclosed stone hut circle settlement at Yes Tor Bottom, 1120 metres east-north-east of Criptor. Diameter 2.3 metres. Double orthostat and rubble wall 0.9 metres wide, 0.4 metres high. A 210 degree facing gap may represent a doorway. Bracken and grass cover.
