Area to S of Thorne farmhouse, in field called "Chapel Park" in 1844, is smoothed by recent landscaping and disturbed by drainage, tennis court + swimming pool. Nevertheless, earthwork remains of rectangular platform visible.30m by 25m, comprising 2 N-S scarps up to 2.5m high defining E + W sides, and a disturbed scarp 0.4m high on S.
Principal range of farmhouse forms N side. Low bank running W from SW corner of platform has been cut by drains and lost due to construction of tennis court. Interpreted as garden.
