Agnes's (old) Shaft at Wheal Emma mine was probably sunk in the late 1840s & was probably replaced by Agnes's (new) Shaft (see PRN 3872) to the south by 1851. The survey in 2002 found the shaft of 2m diameter was within a large spoil mound & was marked by a granite post. To the east of the shaft at SX43527364 the remnants of a mine building were identified with a wall 3m long x 0.45m wide x 1.5m high. Other details: Sites 260,260/1.
