(09/07/1951) Cairn at SX 69446590. The remains of a cairn which has been extensively robbed leaving a depression in the centre 0.5 metres deep. The remains are mostly turf-covered although many of the stones towards the centre are bare. No trace of a cist. Diameter 17 metres, height 0.75 metre.
(12/08/1979) At SX 69456588, within a pasture field there is partly grass and bracken covered cairn.
It is constructed of small stones and measures about 16.0m in diameter and 0.7m high, including a rim 1.8m wide and 0.4m high which is complete save for minor depredations by cattle. The interior is flat with stones protruding from the turf.
The level interior and the completeness of the rim suggest a platform cairn similar to SX 66 SE 11 rather than extensive robbing. See ground photograph and section. (The cairn is not listed by Grinsell)
Surveyed at 1:2500 and at 1:10000 on MSD.
