(20/04/1950) Cairn 'b' diameter 20.5 metres, height 0.3 metres. A large flat topped barrow, thought to be a cairn.

(26/06/1977) These 3 cairns lie on the crest, at the north east end of a ridge at 410m above OD.
B. SX 67916959. This round cairn, overall diameter 19.8m, is of similar form to A. having a central platform 8.7m diameter and 0.6m high, surrounded by a rim, 5.5m average width and 1.0m high.

Site visited on 13th September 1973. Truncated cairn grassed over. Diameter 21 metres, height 1.3 metres.

(19/05/1999) Cairn at SX67916959. One of 5 cairns on Holne Lee situated 2 kilometres south-west of Fore Stoke. Round cairn. Diameter 21m, height 1.3m. Central pit 6m by 6m by 0.3m deep. Robbing pit is slightly east of the mound centre. Old animal burrows within the pit. Rushes in the pit, grass, gorse, bilberry and heather elsewhere.

Holne Lee '3' cairn at SX67916959 of 18 metres diameter by 1.5 metres high retains a good shape.

(06/01/1997) Group centred SX 67916960. These features are as described in 1977. The additional feature described by Grinsell is somewhat enigmatic. While from some aspects it resembles a cairn it is probably the debris from a prospecting pit allied to the nearby extensive tinworking remains.

The monument, which falls into three areas of protection, includes five cairns forming a cairn cemetery situated on a high ridge on Holne Lee overlooking the valley of the River Dart. Four of the mounds contain pits which indicate that they have been subjected to early undocumented investigations. This cairn is a substantial mound measuring 21 metres in diameter and up to 1.3 metress high.
