Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
'Quarry' is marked on the late 19th century historic map; shown as a roughly circular area of workings, north of the moor gate.
Ordnance Survey, 1904 - 1906, Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch Map (Cartographic). SDV325644.
The 1906 version of the historic mapping shows the quarry area to have been expanded. Linked by a trackway directly with Lukesland Farm and probabky served the estate. An unmarked site is shown on the 1966 map.
