Group of buildings shown in this location. Recorded as 'Houses, courts etc' on the Chulmleigh Tithe Aportionment (Plot 1159), part of East Week.

Site visit 9th July 1993. Buildings shown on the Tithe Map (Plot 1159) and described as houses courts etc.
There is one building standing here but it appears to be only a 19th century barn. Earthworks representing the position of other buildings are visible as a terrace cut into hillslope, and a trackway to the west from the site is also visible. The terrace identified on aerial photos is also visible on ground may indicate further settlement site but identified as a possible cultivation terrace on lynchet from the aerial photo.
