Summary
This leat channel, now dry, is 1.4m wide and 0.3m deep with a 1.3m wide bank on the downhill side. It draws water from the Cholake valley (SX 61867309) at 356m OD and follows a sinuous course around a spur to the boundary wall of Tor Royal Farm (SX 62387351) at 346m OD. Here it has apparently been re-routed along hedge ditches on the N side of Moorlands; its original course around the rear of the farm (Hemery, 1983) cannot be identified.

The old pot-water leat channel from Cholake skirts the rear of (Moorlands) Farm quite near the row (SX 67 SW 36) and turns to flow beneath a bridging-stone by the newtake gate; it here runs alongside a track to a pond which it once filled in front of the farmhouse.
