Full description
Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, S. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV350839.
(16/08/1991) A turf covered stoney cairn at SX65768588 situated near the crest of the north facing flank of Shovel Down 20 metres south of a small settlement. It measures 4.9 metres in diameter and survives to a height of 0.65 metres. A stone filled hollow 1.9 metres in diameter and about 0.2 metres deep lies slightly east of centre. There are no traces of a cist or a retaining circle.

Cairn at SX65758586. Diameter 6.2 metres, height 0.6 metres. Central pit 1.8 metres by 1.5 metres by 0.3 metres deep. A ring of stones around outer edge of pit may be structural.

Central Settlement cairn at SX65768585 of 5.0 metres diameter by 0.3 metres high with a possible cist located 30 metres from the southern edge between Shovel Down settlements 'A' and 'B'. The cairn has been dug into with the displaced stones returned to the central pit where they lie in a loose pile.
