Full description
PATTISON, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV151316.
Shell grotto and the barbican (subsheets 3 + 8) lie at opposite ends of terrace, 80m by 18m, defined by prominent scarps. It was used as a bowling green in mid 19c (see dro), and may always have been intended as such, but could also have supported parterres (pattison).
